About Me
Hi I’m Steve, pleasure to make your online acquaintance! A recent transplant to Norwich, UK from New York City, I’m a longtime personal trainer, certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), as well as an experienced martial artist. I’m a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt (3x IBJJF World medalist) with competitive boxing experience, as well as an avid weight lifting and calisthenics practitioner. Through these athletic experiences, study, and good old trial and error, I’ve learned much about how to maximize my client’s strength and movement potential, while also making their bodies more resistant to injury and daily pain. And, let’s be honest- a consistent weights program, along with some sensible nutrition is by far the most effective way to look your best in clothing or a swimsuit. Over the years, I have trained people throughout a wide age range with great results- from children, to brides needing to look their best before the big day, to senior citizens looking to stay strong and improve their quality of life. Let me help you reach your goals and you won’t regret it!
In-Home Training information
I understand that a traditional gym environment might not be for everyone. The option to forgo commuting to the gym can be a convenient way to fit consistent training into a busy schedule. In general, with the exception of training for a highly specialized goal, (ex. competitive powerlifting), little if any effectiveness is sacrificed with in-home training. Exercises typically done in a gym setting can effectively be done using a modest amount of gear that I can (mostly) bring to you.
A list of exercise equipment I bring to in-home sessions:
Adjustable Dumbbells (80 KG total weight)
Portable adjustable weight bench
ATG Buddies (portable squat wedges)
Nord Stick and Nord Band (for Glute ham raises and Nordic curls)
Kensui Hip Thrust Belt
Resistance bands
Gymnastics rings
Boxing gloves and focus mitts
Exercise mat
